The garment was inspired by Ghoomar, a traditional women’s folk dance of Rajasthan, India. This dance
has its roots in the centuries-old culture of Rajasthan, and it is performed by women wearing colourful,
swinging skirts. The measured steps and the graceful inclinations of this dance form, inspire the silhouette
and fabrics in the garment. The controlled volume and the meticulously implemented gradient proportion
are the essential features of the garment. The smooth sheen of the polyester single jersey and velour fabrics
adds to the elegant and feminine aesthetics, while the bright colours impart a hint of avid festivity.
